The Greene County Circuit Clerk’s Office is located on the first floor of the Greene County Courthouse, 519 North Main Street, Carrollton, Illinois. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Our telephone number is 217-942-3421.

As Circuit Court Clerk I ask that you be courteous to all our staff. We strive to assist all persons to the fullest extent legally possible. To that end, we request that you refrain from raising your voice or cursing in the clerk’s office.

Appropriate clothing is required in the courtroom. No pajamas or clothing with inappropriate language. You may not wear a hat in the courtroom. Litigants who arrive for court wearing inappropriate clothing may be asked to leave.

CELL PHONES

Cell phones are now permitted in the Courthouse. However, we ask you to please silence all notification ALARMS in order to keep all distractions out of the courtroom.
